The Tour de France Barcelona 2026 will unite cycling and architecture with the official presentation of the teams on 2 July, on an emblematic route between Sant Pau and the Sagrada Família, within the framework of Barcelona World Capital of Architecture 2026.
The Grand Départ of the Tour de France Barcelona 2026 will strengthen the link between sport, culture and heritage, coinciding with the designation of Barcelona as World Capital of Architecture 2026. Within this framework, the city will host the official presentation of the Tour de France teams on 2 July 2026, in an event open to the public and with great international reach.
The presentation of the Tour de France 2026 teams will take place on an emblematic route between the Sant Pau Modernista complex and the Sagrada Família, along Avinguda de Gaudí. The event will connect two icons of Catalan Modernisme, turning architecture into the main stage for the launch of the Grand Départ.
This unique staging reinforces the image of Barcelona and Catalonia as the host of major international events, and projects the Tour de France Barcelona 2026 to millions of spectators around the world. The event is also part of a key year for the city, with the commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the death of Antoni Gaudí and the 150th anniversary of the Cerdà plan.
The Grand Départ of the Tour de France will take place from 4 to 6 July 2026, with two of the three stages entirely in Catalonia and passing through 60 municipalities, consolidating a national project that links territory, elite cycling and international projection.
