Barcelona will be bathed in yellow from 2 to 6 July to celebrate the arrival of the Grand Départ of the Tour de France 2026. Coinciding with the key days of the race, the city will illuminate landmark buildings, official buildings and ornamental fountains in an initiative that will also extend to several municipalities across Catalonia along the route of stages 2 and 3.

The sites to be illuminated include the façade of Barcelona City Council, the Palau de la Generalitat, Palau Robert, the Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau, the Arc de Triomf, the MNAC, Torre Glòries, Casa Batlló, La Pedrera, Terminal 1 at Barcelona-El Prat Airport and the Magic Fountain of Montjuïc, among others.
The initiative will also extend to several municipalities across Catalonia, with landmark buildings such as the Castell de Castelldefels, L’Home del Mil·lenni de Gavà, the Ermita de Sant Sebastià de Sitges, the Casa de la Vila de Torelló and the Casa de la Vila de Vilanova i la Geltrú, reinforcing a shared celebration that will turn Barcelona and Catalonia into an international showcase during the Tour de France 2026.
