Barcelona now has the main venue for experiencing the Grand Départ Tour de France 2026. Mayor Jaume Collboni, accompanied by the councillor for Sport, David Escudé, and general director of the Tour, Christian Prudhomme, opened the Fan Park on Thursday. Located on Passeig de Lluís Companys, it will be open free of charge until Sunday, 5 July.

Following the traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony, the officials toured the venue, which will become the main meeting point over the coming days for cycling fans and the public alike. The venue will be open daily from 10.00 am to 8.00 pm, except on Sunday, when it will close at 6.00 pm.

The Fan Park offers a wide range of free activities for all ages. Highlights include live broadcasts of the Tour de France stages on a giant screen, a pump track and skills circuits for children, road safety and bicycle repair workshops, as well as interactive spaces run by the sponsors.

Children can also take part in the Ateliers du Tour, an educational area designed to encourage cycling, teach bicycle maintenance and safety, and offer daily activities and competitions featuring the mascot Maxoo.

The venue also hosts the official Grande Boucle shop, where visitors can buy official Tour merchandise and enjoy an immersive experience centred on the world’s most prestigious cycling race.

The Grand Départ Tour de France 2026 Fan Park is now one of the main venues for celebrating the Tour’s visit to Barcelona, bringing cycling closer to the public through a free, family-friendly and interactive experience.
