Next Saturday, 28 March, from 8.00 am to 2.00 pm, the Moll de Marina in Barcelona will host Cycling Solidari, one of the major activities in the promotional programme to celebrate the Grand Départ of the Tour de France Barcelona 2026. The initiative combines sport, citizen participation and social commitment with a clearly charitable aim.

The event will feature live outdoor cycling sessions, with the installation of 113 bicycles, in reference to the 113th edition of the Tour de France. Six 45-minute sessions will be held, led by specialist experts from the Municipal Sports Centres. In total, around 900 places will be available at the Moll de Marina.

The cycling sessions will recreate the routes in the three stages of the Tour de France Barcelona 2026 Grand Départ, which will be held in Catalonia on 4, 5 and 6 July.

Times and routes of the sessions:

  • 1st session (8–8.45 am) Stage 3: Granollers – Les Angles
  • 2nd session (9–9.45 am) Stage 2: Tarragona – Barcelona
  • 3rd session (10–10.45 am) Stage 1: Time trial in Barcelona
  • 4th session (11–11.45 am) Stage 3: Granollers – Les Angles
  • 5th session (12–12.45 pm) Stage 2: Tarragona – Barcelona
  • 6th session (1–1.45 pm) Stage 1: Time trial in Barcelona

Individuals may register in advance for any of the six sessions to participate in the sessions at Moll de Marina. There will also be a stamina trial for teams made up of 2 to 6 people, who will have to rack up as many kilometres as possible on a single bicycle for a charitable cause.

The sessions will be streamed at several affiliated Municipal Sports Centres, expanding the scope of the event and facilitating participation in different neighbourhoods across the city. 25 centres are expected to participate.

All participants will receive a T-shirt as a gift. In addition, those who do participate at Moll de Marina will also be given refreshments, in collaboration with Aigües de Barcelona, and access to a cloakroom service. As for teams, they will have their own space.

Registration costs 10 euros, all of which will go to charity and contribute to promoting brain diseases at the Hospital del Mar Research Institute via Foundation Friends of the Hospital del Mar. Plus, anyone can join with Bib 0, even if they are not participating in person.
