Barcelona is set to experience a Festa del Tour from 26 June to 5 July, a grand popular celebration linked to the Grand Départ of the Tour de France 2026 and bringing over 60 cultural, sports, commercial and gastronomy activities to the city’s ten districts.

The programme includes ten concerts and musical performances, 18 cultural activities in the street, travelling shows and the participation of eight performing arts and dance companies. The main stages will be in Plaça de la Catedral and Plaça Margarida Xirgu, with performances from Doctor Prats, Suu, Sexenni, 31 FAM, Sidonie, Ladilla Rusa, Joan Garriga, Xiula and others.

During the presentation, the Mayor of Barcelona, Jaume Collboni, noted that the Festa del Tour will combine “sport, popular culture and local retail” to turn the Grand Départ into “a grand citizen celebration shared around the neighbourhoods”.

One of the main attractions will be Le Tour on Tour, a float offering a travelling show especially for the occasion and headed by Sergi Ots, making its way around the ten districts from 27 June to 2 July with music and street theatre. Another attraction is Barcelona en ruta, with 18 cultural interventions around squares, markets and shopping hubs.

The celebration also involves the city’s retail network with the participation of 14 shopping hubs, 40 municipal markets, 6 shopping centres and over 2,500 decorated shops and businesses.. In addition, facilities such as the Zoo, Port Olímpic and the Tibidabo Amusement Park will be hosting family activities.

The presentation also included the official poster for the Festa del Tour, by Albert Tercero and the Barcelona studio SMLXL, as well as the new Tour bread, an initiative by the Barcelona Bakers’ Guild. Created by the baker Enric Badia from the Forn Elias, the product fuses ingredients and flavours from Catalan and French culture and can be found in the city’s bakeries as from 26 June.

The Festa will be a prelude to the start of the Tour de France 2026 from Barcelona. Highlights also include the presentation of teams, the Fan Park, themed exhibitions and a installation of ten giant jerseys around the districts.

The celebration culminates with the first stages of the Tour: the team time trial on 4 July around the streets of Barcelona and the arrival of the second stage in Montjuïc on 5 July.
